Black Diamond Show Playlist for 12/27/10 Hank Williams Special; WNHU, 88.7 FM, West Haven, CT & www.wnhu.net

Here's an advance (!) posting of the playlist for the 12/27 show. Since Hank Williams passed away in the back seat of a car New Year's Eve 1952/New Year's Day 1953, I'll try to do a Hank Williams show each year on the show prior to New Year's. I freely admit I stole the idea for a Hank Williams show from John Lupton, a DJ at WVUD, Newark DE. John's show happens every year about 10am on New Year's Day morning. Check it out.

It is amazing what an impact Hank has had on American music. Over 125 compositions. Sales that helped bring country music more and more into the mainstream. I hope you enjoy the show: a selection of Hank songs, covers, and tribute songs. The second half hour opens with a complete episode of one of the Health & Happiness Shows Hank and his band recorded. Obviously, when Hank said it was time for the announcer to deliver a message, I put in a WNHU Black Diamond Show promo. There are so many great songs in Hank's repertoire, this show does NOT come close to covering them all.

If the show piques your interest in Hank Williams, here are some links to more information.

Thanks, as always, for your support.
